Available and Reserved Spots

Available Spots

The number of spots availabe on each master's programme is limited, in accordance with what is set out in the degree verification report, or amendments thereof, provided that ANECA has approved the programme. The number of general spots available each year on specific master's programme is proposed and submitted for approval to the Academic Commission, the UIB Governing Council, the relevant regional department and, where applicable, the General Assembly for University Policy.

Reserved Spots

The following percentage of spots from the total number available in the general call for admissions to master's programmes will be reserved, rounded up to the nearest whole number:

  • 5% of the total number of spots for individuals with an accredited disability level equal to or above 33%, as well as students with permanent educational support needs linked to personal disability circumstances who required specific resources and support during their previous studies in order to ensure they enjoyed full educational inclusion
  • 3% of the total number of spots for high-level and high-performance atheletes. This percentage shall be increased to 5% on master's programmes linked to sports science.

Candidates who meet the admission requirements for more than one reserved spot category may apply to both.

In the event that any reserved spots remain open, they may be offered as general places. They shall be allocated in strict accordance with the order set out on the waiting list for general spots. Students will have to enrol within the deadline period set by the CEP.
