General Information
Pre-registration is the application students submit in order to obtain a place on a master's programme at the UIB. Candidates may apply for admission to three programmes at most.
The application shall determine whether students meet the entry requirements for admission to a master's programme or a pathway/specialisation within a specific programme. Following this, the relevant body for the master's programme will review and assess applications from candidates who meet the requirements, and allocate spots.
Depending on the master's programme, admission may be subject or limited to:
- One or several pathways/specialisations on the programme
- A requirement for specific prior training in certain disciplines. For further information, please view the 'Admission Criteria' section on the specific programme website
- A requirement to sit tests to ensure students have a suitable level
- Admission tests to rank candidates
- A requirement to take supplementary training.
A maximum of three pre-registration applications may be submitted.
However, you may only start one master’s programme in an academic year. Where you are admitted to more than one programme and formally enrol, you will need to submit a cancellation request so that the centre may amend your pre-registration application and transfer any fees you have paid.
