Documentation to Submit


Format

  • The documents you attach must be original and include an official electronic signature and secure verification code, or clearly legible scanned copies of the original documents preferably in .pdf format.
  • The documents must be fully legible and must contain all relevant information (front and back or all pages) in the correct order.
  • You must attach the correct document types with your application form

Where scanned copies are submitted, the originals must be submitted within the set deadline for formalising enrolment. Failure to do so will mean enrolment remains subject to submitting the original documents and no academic transcripts or degree certificates may be issued.


When and Where to Submit Documents

Documents must be attached to the specific section in the application during the pre-registration and, where applicable, amendments deadline. Where copies of the entry and admission documents are submitted, the corresponding originals may be submitted in the set enrolment deadline.


General Entry Documents

A scanned cope of the following documents must be uploaded to the pre-registration app:

  • Valid DNI, NIE or passport.
  • Admission qualification certificate1 (one of the following options):
    • A Spanish undergraduate, master’s or equivalent certificate granting admission to master’s programmes; the document listing official Spanish university degrees issued by the Ministry of Education bearing an SVC2, validation accreditation; statement of equivalence.
    • An academic qualification issued by an overseas university (in Spanish, Catalan, English, French, Italian or Portuguese). Please see the information on equivalenceauthentication, and translation of documents.
  • Academic transcript1 (one of the following options):
    • An official academic transcript for a Spanish undergraduate, master’s or equivalent qualification, issued by the corresponding university, which must include the average mark for the programme (0 to 10).
    • An official academic transcript issued by an overseas university (in Spanish, Catalan, English, French, Italian or Portuguese) and an overseas average mark equivalence document, which may be obtained from the Average Grade Equivalence Service.   • Curriculum vitae

1Applicants do not need to submit these documents if the programmes were studied at the UIB.

2This document(example) can be obtained for authorisation purposes on the Ministry of Education website. When generating the document, it is important the request date is at least within the same academic year you are applying for in order to be able to verify the qualifications.


Specific Admission Documents

The pre-registration app will request the required documents for master's programmes with specific admission requirements (e.g. a specific language accreditation level) or which may consider merits requiring additional documents (e.g. a cover letter or letter of recommendation).

Documents for Spots Reserved for Persons with Disabilities

Applicants who are interested in applying for spots reserved for persons with disabilities with a disability level equal to or above 33% must attach their disability level certificate or accreditation:

  • Resolution or certificate issued by the regional social security head office at the Government of the Balearic Islands
  • Resolution or certificate issued by the Institute of Social Services and the Elderly (IMSERSO)
  • Resolution issued by the National Social Security Institute (INSS) accrediting benefit holder status due to total or absolute incapacity or sever disability
  • Resolution issued by the Ministry of Economy and Finance or Ministry of Defence accrediting a retirement pension due to permanent incapacity or being unfit for duty.


Documents for Spots Reserved for High-level or High-performance Athletes

Article 2.3 in Royal Decree 971/2007 sets out the different classification levels for high-level athletes. In turn, the categories in Point 2.3 (d) are set by autonomous regions. Moreover, the CAIB establishes, in Decree 91/2015, other sub-levels within this level.

Group A. High-level athletes by resolution issued by the Secretary of State and Chair of the Sports Council

Publication in the BOE [Official State Gazette] or certificate issued by the Sports Council.
It must be requested from the relevant Spanish sports federation.

Group B. High-performance athletes in accordance with Article 2.3 (a) in RD 971/2007 who have been selected by Spanish sports federations to represent Spain at senior level at official international competitions in at least one of the last two years

Certificate issued by the Sports Council.
It must be requested from the relevant Spanish sports federation.

Group C. High-performance athletes in accordance with Article 2.3 (b) in RD 971/2007 who have been selected by Spanish sports federations to represent Spain at non-senior level at official international competitions, in at least one of the last two years

Certificate issued by the Sports Council.
It must be requested from the relevant Spanish sports federation.

Group D. High-performance athletes or equivalent in accordance with Article 2.3 (c) in RD 971/2007 and classified by the CAIB as high-level athletes in group A, in accordance with Decree 91/2015

Accreditation certificate issued by the relevant body in the autonomous region.
Athletes from the Balearic Islands must be included in the lists published in the BOIB [Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands] in April and October.

Group E. High-performance athletes or equivalent in accordance with Article 2.3 (c) in RD 971/2007 and classified by the CAIB as high-level athletes in group B or C, in accordance with Decree 91/2015

Accreditation certificate issued by the relevant body in the autonomous region.
Athletes from the Balearic Islands must be included in the lists published in the BOIB in April and October.

Group F. High-performance athletes or equivalent in accordance with Article 2.3 (c) in RD 971/2007 and classified by the CAIB as high-level athletes in group D, in accordance with Decree 91/2015, or high-performance athletes in accordance with RD 971/2007 from other autonomous regions

Accreditation certificate issued by the relevant body in the autonomous region.
Athletes from the Balearic Islands must be included in the lists published in the BOIB in April and October.

Group G. High-performance athletes in accordance with Article 2.3 (d) in RD 971/2007 who follow programmes supervised by Spanish sports federations at Sports Council-accredited high-performance centres

Certificate issued by the Sports Council.
It must be requested from the relevant Spanish sports federation.

Group H. High-performance athletes in accordance with Article 2.3 (e) in RD 971/2007 who follow technique development programmes supervised by Spanish sports federations, included in the National Sport Technique Development Programme run by the Sports Council

Certificate issued by the Sports Council.
It must be requested from the relevant Spanish sports federation.

Group I. High-performance athletes in accordance with Article 2.3 (f) in RD 971/2007 who follow technique development programmes supervised by Spanish sports federations

Certificate issued by the Sports Council.
It must be requested from the relevant Spanish sports federation.

Group J. High-performance athletes in accordance with Article 2.3 (g) in RD 971/2007 who follow programmes supervised by autonomous regions, at Sports Council-accredited high-performance centres

Accreditation certificate issued by the relevant body in the autonomous region.
Athletes from the Balearic Islands must have the certificate issued by the Foundation for Balearic Sport.


Documents for Specific Enrolment Status

Students who request this status must attach accreditation documents justifying the relevant circumstances:

  • A current employment contract or administrative appointment set to start on the day classes commence. Moreover, they must provide other documents proving their current activity, such as contribution receipts for any social security category or the header from a recent payslip
  • A disability level certificate issued by the relevant body for accreditation
  • A copy of their ID document showing they are over 45
  • Documentation accrediting their family protection status or having to care for dependents
  • Documentation accrediting their status as a high-level or high-performance athlete
  • Documentation accrediting registration on an official advanced diploma in the arts
  • Documentation accrediting a serious illness or having been in an accident impeding full-time status on university programmes
  • Documentation accrediting international protection
  • The final ruling, the protection order in your favour or, exceptionally, the report from the Prosecution Service setting out the evidence the student is a victim of gender-based violence until the protection order is granted. Applicants may also submit a certificate from the relevant social services indicating their status
  • Any document accrediting the relevant condition to be considered for specific enrolment status.
