Full or Partial Enrolment Cancellation

Enrolment Amendment due to First-Preference Acceptance

The master's programme entry and admission regulations state that candidates may apply for admission to a maximum of three master's programmes. Nevertheless, the Academic Regulations set out that students may only start one master's programme in a given academic year

Therefore, where master's students have already formally enrolled for one UIB master's programme and are then accepted on a preferred programme, they must request an enrolment amendment by filling in the enrolment cancellation application form. They must state the following reason for the amendment: 'New student acceptance of a spot on another UIB programme at the same level.'

Otherwise, the university will automatically cancel all other enrolments and only the most recent formal enrolment will remain active.

Total or Partial Cancellation

Students may request full or partial cancellation of their enrolment as long as they comply with the terms and conditions set out in the UIB Academic Regulations.

The request may be submitted up to 30th November for first-semester subjects, and up to 30th April for second-semester and annual subjects. The request must include supporting documents accrediting the change in circumstances after enrolment. In exceptional and reasoned instances, enrolment cancellation requests may be admitted for a sudden change in circumstances outside the deadline period.

The financial consequences of enrolment cancellation vary depending on when the request is submitted.
